By Voucherix-C Leave a Comment

2022 Health and Wellness trends: Last year, Ashwaganda sales increased by 4000% in the USA, researches showed that the metabolic rate continues until the 60s without slowing down, mental sports centers have proven themselves. These are the signs that will be at the forefront of health and wellness trends in the world in 2022..

Not long ago, it was as if the world had turned upside down. It has forced us all to restructure our lives, evaluate what it means to be “good”, and shift our focus to what really matters. People began to adopt self-care practices that would be good for them and help them keep control. With so many products and services marketed to support health, we have become more aware of the importance of exciting new trends. The trend towards safer and more effective innovations in terms of health and implementing them more actively accelerated in 2021. It seems that the trends I have listed below will also make a name for themselves in 2022.

2022 Health and Wellness trends

Adaptogens at the top

Adaptogens are non-toxic herbs that help the body resist all kinds of stressors. Said to stimulate our bodies and help systems return to a balanced state of homeostasis, adaptogens have been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic healing traditions for centuries. It is believed to improve quality of life and may help maintain neurological health. But we need more research to support these claims.

It seems certain that herbs such as tulsi, reishi, ginseng, rhodiola, maca, turmeric or ashwagandha will be on our agenda as we need more support in coping with stress. The approximately 4000% increase seen in ashgwaganda sales in the USA in 2021 is the biggest indicator that herbal medicine will lead the revival in 2022.

Mental Gyms will increase

We spent a year or two confirming that mental and physical health are intricately linked. In the new period, we will add “mental fitness” to our mental health routines. Even when we are feeling good, we will continue to learn that our mental health is something we need to work on on a regular basis.

Officially put into service in January 2021, ‘Coa’, the world’s first mental health gym, has already begun to inspire business areas that fit this concept. Mental exercise seems to have proven to go beyond meditation. The aim of this organization, which offers emotional fitness classes and individual therapist services that you can attend as a group under the leadership of the therapist; Making resources for mental health as common, accessible and enjoyable as physical fitness.

A new study published in the journal Science shows that metabolic rate doesn’t drop as early as we thought, but not until our 60s and 70s.

A new look at metabolic rate

We’ve long been taught that after our twenties our metabolism begins to decline inevitably, and that with it a difficult balancing act is necessary if we are to not gain weight for the rest of our lives. But a new study published in the journal Science has shown that metabolic rate doesn’t drop as early as we thought, until well into your 60s and 70s.

This resulted in a significant paradigm shift. Because it means we have much more control over our metabolism than previously thought, and with control comes responsibility. That’s why in 2022 we will see a growing demand for products and lifestyle habits that help maintain metabolism by preserving muscle mass and supporting mitochondrial health.

Supplements such as amino acids, acetyl-L-carnitine, CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid will increase in popularity. Additionally, as we shift our physical activities to health-promoting exercises like yoga, strength training, and walking, mood-boosting exercises like jungle bathing will continue to grow in popularity.

Portable mini health tools

During the lockdown period, we took control of our health and collected equipment that will not look like gyms. Personal EKG scanners, self-cleaning water bottles, biosensors, folding treadmills or portable massage guns. These products and solutions have given people the comfort and strength to take control of their own health routines.

For example, devices such as massage guns (eg Hypervolt, TheraGun), which in previous years were only suitable for professionals, made it possible to enjoy all the benefits of massage therapy effortlessly. It seems that amateur physiotherapy tools that help in reducing inflammation in the body, healing after training, treating painful areas, providing a feeling of rejuvenation and vitality, may be the favorite of 2022 trends.

Eco-therapy, which brings the patient and therapist together during a walk in nature, is expected to become popular in 2022.

Psychiatry meets with nature

Since the onset of the pandemic, many therapists have chosen online teletherapy as a safer alternative to seeing patients in the office due to safety concerns. While telehealth will continue to be a very viable and safe way to deliver therapy services, many therapists and clients believe seeing each other in person produces faster results.

With “Walk and Talk” therapy, patients and therapists act together in nature and nature is accepted as part of healing. Therapy sessions that bring the patient and therapist together during a walk in nature, namely eco-therapy, are expected to become very popular in 2022.

You can also explore certain types of meditation for your ming health which is also an important factor for your overall health condition. Search the internet and find an essential guide to meditation for a better mind and a healthier you.

Trend on the shelves

Towards the end of the year, the WholeFoods market (the healthy food chain with more than 500 branches in the United States) publishes its Annual Trends report, in which they predict what flavors will be on our shelves over the next year. Functional food and functional nutrition related foods constitute most of the 2022 trends.

Having hibiscus (hibiscus), yuzu (citrus grown in the Far East), moringa, turmeric and sunflower seeds on the list made me very happy as a wellness coach. It seems like sunflower seeds will outperform peanut butter, popping up in crackers, ice cream bases, and even milk instead of flour.

With all that said, this dentist in Manchester MO still recommends a timeless health trend — regular health checkups. This will ensure that you’re always on top of your health.
