5 Tips for Staying Warm in Your Campervan

With campervans, you can go anywhere. No matter where your travels take you, there will always be a place to park and sleep at night. However, you may find yourself in situations where it’s cold outside, and staying warm in your van is the only thing on your mind.

Here are some ways to keep warm when camping or traveling by van.

1. Layer Up

You can do this by wearing layers of clothes. It’s crucial to stay warm but also comfortable. Wool socks are a great option to keep your feet warm or try socks with rubber grips on the bottom so they don’t slip off inside your shoes.

If it’s cold outside and inside your van, consider wearing two pairs of pants. And don’t forget to layer up with a scarf as well. The wind will blow through gaps between layers if they aren’t fully closed off by clothing items like scarves or jackets (or both).

2. Get a Mattress Pad

A mattress pad is one of the best ways to stay warm in your Campstar.com/. It’s cheap, easy to install, and will help you sleep at night. If you are sleeping on top of your bed, get a fitted sheet with elastic all around it so that it stays on the mattress.

This will ensure that no cold air gets underneath it. If you are sleeping on top of your bed, get a fitted sheet with elastic all around it so that it stays on the mattress. This will ensure that no cold air gets underneath it.

3. Use a Hot Water Bottle or Blanket Warmer

Hot water bottles are great for keeping warm on cold nights and are easy to use. Simply fill the bottle with boiling water, let it cool, and then place it under your covers. Ensure you don’t put the hot water bottle directly against your skin. It can cause burns.

Blanket warmers work in a similar way. They are electric blankets that help keep you warm without needing electricity. If you have both items available and want to use them together, try placing one under each arm or leg so that your entire body is covered by warmth.

4. Take Hot Beverages

A hot beverage is the perfect way to warm up in a campervan. Whether it’s tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or even a hot toddy, you will feel toasty in no time.

If you are camping for the first time and don’t know how to make a hot beverage on your stovetop, plenty of videos on YouTube can teach you how. And if all else fails, there’s always the option of using an electric kettle.

So go ahead — grab your favorite mug and get cozy in that van.

5. Insulate Your Van

The best way to insulate your van is with a thermal barrier. A thermal barrier can help keep heat in and cold out, prevent condensation, and reduce water damage and mold growth.

A good quality van insulation kit will come with everything you need, including foam board insulation panels, adhesive tape/glue & installation instructions.

If you don’t want to spend the money on buying an insulation kit, other options are available, like bubble wrap or blankets, which you can use as an alternative method of insulating your van.

As you can see, there are several ways to stay warm in your campervan. Some are more complicated, and some are simpler. But with a little bit of effort, you can be warm and cozy all winter long.
