A Guide to Following Public Health Guidelines This Summer

The coronavirus pandemic has taken the world by storm, inciting panic in every part of the world. While there is a lot of research being done to develop a proper vaccine, we need to protect ourselves for the time being. In this guide, I am going to provide a detailed outline regarding different protocols that you need to follow this summer. If you decide to engage in public activities, here is how you should do it and practice these preventive measures to curb the spread of the virus.

Keep Your Distance

The very first thing that you need to do is to make sure that you keep your distance from other people. With the COVID-19 restrictions put into place, it is your duty to protect yourself and others. When you are outside, you should never shake hands with strangers to reduce the risk of spreading COVID. Here are some other precautions you should take:

  • Keep a minimum distance of 2 meters and don’t shake hands or hug strangers.
  • Minimize the number of people you meet every day.
  • Don’t spend too much time in crowded places.

You have to remember that even if you are at your peak health and can easily fight the coronavirus, there are some people who are more vulnerable to it. You must think of them when you go out and limit your interaction.

Maintain a Good Hygiene

It doesn’t matter if you are trying to protect yourself from COVID-19 or not; good hygiene is essential for good health. There are certain things that you can do when in public to help you protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

  • Wash Your Hands: You should wash your hands regularly using soap and water. Moreover, you should keep a sanitizer with your all the time and use it after coughing, sneezing, or before eating food. If you come in contact with any surface or meet someone, wash your hands as soon as possible.
  • Clean Your Surroundings: On top of making sure that you regularly wash your hands, you should clean any surface that you touch frequently. These surfaces include doorknobs, mobile phones, laptops, and light switches. You can apply a sanitizer to a smooth cloth and rub it over to clean any surface.
  • Vaping or Smoking in Public: Last but not least, you need to be extra careful when smoking or vaping in public as there is not enough research into whether coronavirus can spread through e-liquid vapour or smoke. Here are the guidelines to follow when it comes to vaping in public so that you are not putting other people in any danger.

Wear a Face Mask

In the war against the coronavirus, face masks have proved to be the number one defense. It doesn’t matter where you are going; a face mask such as from Primo Dental Products is a must when you are outdoors as it protects you and other people from the virus.

COVID-19 spreads through the air droplets by going into your lungs from your mouth or nose. If you properly cover your nose and mouth using a face mask, you can reduce the spread of these droplets.

Get Tested if You Have Symptoms

COVID-19 is spreading like wildfire as it is a contagious disease. The best way to control it is by ensuring that you isolate yourself if you have any symptoms. The most common symptoms of the virus are constant coughing, high temperature, and a loss of taste and smell.

If you have any of these symptoms, you should immediately visit a nearby center or book your COVID-19 test. As soon as you recover from the virus, you should get vaccinated.
