A few months ago, a few of us from Voucherix went on a workday out to the races because we had a successful month. I had never been to the races before and all I knew was that we were getting an excuse to get dressed up in suits and dresses and have some drinks to celebrate our successful month.
After a few hours there we all collectively realized how much fun it was and now, sporting dayouts have become a minor tradition that we do when we have a chance to celebrate a good month.
After going to a few different events and starting my very small gambling journey, we feel that we could use these experiences to help our readers find their next fun day out. Not only does it give you something to look forward to but it also gives you a potential hobby for years!
The Darts
Before going to the darts, a lot of the people in the office assumed that the sport was really boring. All it is is people throwing a sharp stick at a board, but, wow this was the best night out we have had in a while. Not only did it exceed my expectations but it also showed us how fun darts fans are.
The atmosphere is great, people get dressed up in fancy costumes and sing songs and chants and overall, just have a great time. As well as the atmosphere and of course the alcohol, Premier League darts betting is also shockingly fun, with darts having a load of betting markets available for bettors!
Horse Races
Attending horse races is something we have touched on slightly but we can’t understate how much fun it was! We went during the summer months and we all dressed up fancy and had a lot of alcohol while we watched horses run around and then had a boogie afterwards.
It was the perfect day and one of the best things about these is the fact that everyone is there for the same reason you are. Everyone is there to drink, spend time with friends and put some money on horses. Because of this, there is animosity and everyone is in high spirits. Overall, I think that for a day out, you could do a lot worse than horse racing.
A Football Match
Football was the sport we were almost familiar with and was, surprisingly, the most disappointing one of the lot. With the others, it has more of a day-out feel; you go to darts or horse racing and you are there for the day, betting and drinking.
However, the football is shorter and lasts less time and it is less friendly. The sport itself may be more entertaining and going to a football match is better than watching the darts of the horse racing, but, as a day out and a work one at that – slightly disappointing.
Basketball
Now, for sports in a sport that we had no experience with, this would easily come out on top as we had all barely watched even highlights of basketball before we went. However, it was surprisingly fun! It is similar to football in that it is less of an experience compared to darts and horse racing but it is still fun nonetheless.
As well as that, betting on basketball is less fun and fulfilling compared to these sports and even though we had a lot of fun, of the four we mentioned today, this came out as the least enjoyable.
Which We Suggest
As you can probably tell, we think that the two standouts for the best betting dayouts are horse racing and darts. These two are really fun and both have their own uniqueness that makes them stand out from the rest. We highly recommend going to watch either of them and we hope you have a great time and win some money!!
