Paris Fashion Week 2021-22

For the 2021 Autumn / Winter collection, Dior performed a digital fashion show full of fairy-tale inspirations at the Hall of Mirrors at the Versailles Palace. However, the movie named “Disturbing Beauty” reflected a dark side as well as all the beauty in the fairy tales it inspired. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri interprets fairy tales with a new approach in this show, which creates an enchanting atmosphere with the splendor of huge mirrors covered with wax and acacia thorns.

In the collection inspired by fairy tales such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Alice in Wonderland”, Chiuri uses this fantasy world as a tool of questioning and challenge, this time out of the ordinary, and she adopts an interrogative approach with the mirrors she covers with plates and reflects our identity along with our image. As for the collection, the designer presented a collection with themes referring to fairy tales such as “Alice in Wonderland” with a laser cut leather apron dress and a blue cashmere coat enriched with red-white details and “Beauty and the Beast”. Chanel

Virginie Viard Chanel, the creative director of the fashion house, is inspired by winter sports and Parisian elegance from the 70’s to the present day with the ski holiday ambience she loves so much for the 2021 Autumn / Winter collection. Sparkling and mini party dresses are accompanied by tweed and puffer jackets in the collection, which attracts attention with sparkling textures.

However, for those who love Chanel classics, this collection also includes designs that have become the signature of the fashion house, such as classic Chanel suits and pleated skirts. Long tweed coats have a timeless appeal, while fur versions of the classic Chanel tweed jacket are among the striking designs in the collection. Miu Miu

Miuccia Prada adopts a mountain adventure as a concept for the 2021 Autumn / Winter collection movie. “Nature has a power that heals me personally.” This time, the designer takes this power from the snow-white veil of winter and takes the brave Miu Miu girls to the snow-covered Dolomite Mountains. For this collection, the designer has adopted a concept created by the combination of the woman who conquered nature and the podium extending to the forest.

Isabel Marant

In the Fall / Winter 2021 season, Isabel Marant’s Parisian girls do not lose anything from their coolness. The designs with voluminous shoulders are accompanied by pointed toes and chunky heeled boots, while the bohemian style of the fashion house is adorned with puffy tassels and sequins and is supported by crop vests.

Taking the androgynous style to a much more modern line with guipure lace, embroideries and prints, Isabel Marant also highlights the futuristic side of the intergalactic style with the cowboy style with silver sparkling dresses, vinyl and shiny materials. The Isabel Marant designs, which we are accustomed to see dominated by curvy and carrot model trousers, appear with flatter silhouettes in the fall-winter 2021 season.
